DESCRIPTION
With its broad multicoloured leaves splashed with yellow patches, Variegated Sea Hibiscus is an instant heart melter. These plants are native to coastal areas of tropical Asia and are popular for parkscaping in their tree form. As a potted plant they can be kept in bright light areas, such as window ledges for years.Â
The Variegated, or Tricolour, Sea Hibiscus (botanical name Hibiscus tiliaceus) has a stunning foliage of heart shaped leaves in a mix of green, pink and burgundy with white and yellow variegation that makes for an eye catching display.Â
With their natural habitat in coastal areas, these plants are sea spray resistant and also suitable for balconies of homes near the sea. They prefer bright, direct light but will also tolerate partial shade, which will cause leaves to grow larger and the plant to grow overall more slowly. Water once a week or so, making sure to water before the potting mix dries out completely.
With its colourful foliage and tropical vibes, Sea Hibiscus makes for a colourful and attractive plant for window ledges and other bright light areas.Â
Important to know: As plants are natural products, form, pattern and colour will vary.Â
