DESCRIPTION

Another beautiful houseplant from the Tradescantia family, the Pallida variety (also known as Purple Heart) is an evergreen plant with elongated, pointed leaves and small flowers. This scrambling species can be identified by its green coloration which sometimes features red or purple markings on the petals of each flower head (or "spike"). It will oftensprout back from roots in response to moderate frost damage - but only if it has been top-koted first!

Also known as spiderwort or inch plant, Tradescantias are perfect houseplants with their hardiness and adaptability to different light levels!

Because of its vigorous nature, the Tradescantia pallida is quite easy to maintain. Water the plant every 7-10 days when the top inch of the soil is dry and give the plant bright indirect light to keep the foliage dense.
