DESCRIPTION

This is popular in indoor horticulture, and the plant is Cryptanthus has a direct relationship to the family Bromeliaceae. This plant does not have a stem, and its elongated leaves are collected in a not very large spectacular outlet. That is why this plant is also called the Earth Star. 

They are easy to grow and particularly hardy, either in-ground or when grown in pots. It is a light-loving plant that prefers bright lighting. However, it requires mandatory shading from the scorching midday sun in the summer. The plant feels fine in any light, but the more light, the brighter the picture. In the cold season, the flower also needs proper lighting.

Cryptanthus fosterianus has an interesting pattern on its leaves that creates a wavy movement look like the stripes of zebra.
