DESCRIPTION
Pilea mollis, also known as Moon Valley Pilea, is so coined due to its highly dimpled leaves that are thought to resemble craters and valleys on the Moon. Its foliage is a bright apple green colour with copper veins that run through the leaves. It features dark red undersides that only add to its mystique.
To grow healthily, make sure the soil of your Moon Valley Pilea is evenly moist but not soggy. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. The Moon Valley Pilea can tolerate moderate light but will thrive under bright indirect light.
High humidity will keep your Moon Valley Pilea happy. You can use a humidifier to boost humidity at home or mist it at least once a day. Placing it in a tray filled will pebbles and water will also do the trick.
The Moon Valley Pilea is a perfect statement piece for windowsills and tabletops as the plant remains relatively small, never reaching more than 12 inches in height.
