Colourful and elegant, the Calathea Sanderiana, also known as Pin Stripe
Calathea, will catch you stealing glances. With seemingly painted on patterns on its deep green/purple leaves that rise and fall with the light, these plants are a must have for your houseplant collection.
One of our best sellers, the Calathea Pin Stripe has an obvious charm. It has dark leaves with light/bright pink stripes that look like they were drawn on using a marker pen. This is a great choice for a not too bright area in a bedroom or study to add a touch of colour.
As a tropical plant, Calatheas thrive best when provided with conditions similar to their native rainforests. It prefers medium to bright indirect light, moist soil at all times and frequent misting to increase humidity.
Calatheas are also known as Prayer Plants due to the fact that their leaves stay in an upright position during the day and then fold up like praying hands at night.
Important to know: As plants are natural products, form, pattern and colour will vary.
